 Hello Friends ,

Crafters corner has come up with the team of best crafters as their design team . Lets get to know them

.

Shalini Pahwa from Artforte
I am Shalini Pahwa. I have been creative since my childhood. Pure science and mathematical puzzles never drove me. It was colors and strokes of pencil which always used to catch my fascination.

After basic education, I did a course in fine arts. After graduating, I was looking around for an opportunity to satiate my creative and artistic appetite. This I got at Archies. Digitalization of designs was at a preliminary stage at that time and this provided me with a large ground to try new and unexplored feats in designing. My seven year stint at Archies was hence full with new experiments in designing, execution and production.

After honing my skills at static designs, I decided to try new digitalization techniques. Animation was thence a natural choice. Animation helped me think beyond the static world of graphic designing and I worked for over 4 years in a dynamic environment of animation.

However, one fine day, I discovered the romance in PAPER… and my life changed…
On a piece of unspotted, figureless sheet of paper, I got a medium to express my art, my desires, my dreams, my festivities and my love for nature. I started molding paper to construct leaves, flowers and shapes which are inherent to me. I started cutting paper to make soothing shapes, brightly colored borders, flowers and gloated at the romance of how a paper can be used to express your inner feelings.

Here I present my choicest collection of how I see a piece of paper can be used to create what is in your mind and soul…

Mallika Kejriwal  from Aola Handmade Cards
Well to start with I am Mallika Kejriwal ..technically I am Computer Science Engineer Grad .
( With practically no knowledge of my course subjects ) .

Since I was 5 , I always loved colors and threads n stuff . I remember I use to make doll clothes when I was a litle girl .
With growing age I got engrossed in studies and other activities like swimming , debates alot more .
It was during my third year of engineering ,  I started making cards using news papers , old scraps of paper etc .Once While surfing , I found a blogs on card making  .I was amazed by the stunning creations and I then realized there is a lot more to card making .I started own blogAola Handmade Cards and since then there is no looking back . I saved my pocket money , sold cards to get stuff imported to India . As we say " Money makes money " , the more tools and supplies I got , My cards improved . I was juggling between my college course and my addiction towards crafting .
I loved the fact that how so much of glamour can be associated to a piece of paper .
The process of starting with a blank piece of paper and turning it into something "Awiiig " .. became my habit.I never took support from my family for any of my craft needs . At present I have a huge inventory of craft materials which can practically feed an army .
I am thankful to Shalini for selecting me as a DT member . I will continue to surprise you all with me work .

Anita Kejriwal from Crafting Forever
My name is Anita Kejriwal and I stay in Kolkata. I,m a SAHM with a very supportive husbad and two loving kids aged 16 year old girl and a 4 1/2 year old boy.
I started crafting from a very young age and loved to make cards. Paper crafting is my passion and I love everything about it--be it card making, scrapbooking, punch craft and quilling.
I started serious crafting since last three years when I came into the blog world and since then, I,ve come a long way. I have learnt various new techniques like, stamping, distressing and have also become familiar with craft tools from all over the world. This has made me a craft goodie hoarder(LOL) as I just love collecting tools, stamps, papers and all scrapbooking stuff .
Thanks to blogging, I.ve made friends from all over the world, recognised and appreciated and won many challenges too. I,ve kept my mind open to all lessons and love to learn everyday something new.
Besides crafting, my other passion is cooking and flower arrangement but find little time for these nowadays.
I,m happy for my friend Shalini, who has come a long way and brings to us the best of best in the craft world. I hope I will be able to give my best to her blog .

I want to take this opportunity to Thank Shalini for selecting Me as one of the DT"s of her Blog- Crafter's Corner and I am really looking forward to working with such a creative Team....:)

Hi all
I am an interior designer and MBA by profession....but i think more then this i have always been interested in crafting and whatever inteersting i found i always wanted to try my hands on it.....but
in 2008 i discovered quilling and simply loved it and then i got into creating and teaching handmade products through paper crafts like paper quilling, punch craft, parchment, card making, scrapbooking etc. ......but while doing the same i discovered that most of the products were not available in India so easily and if were available then the full variety was not there so people had to buy only that whatever was there.....resulting in compromising their needs.
So i decided to give a platform to people where they could explore their creativity to maximum by providing all best brands of craft material to them....after this Crafters Corner became official in 2011....as i know its very difficult to ask for craft supplies from your relatives who are staying abraod.
Right now Crafters Corner is importing maximum leading brands of craft supplies by having direct tie ups so that the consumer gets the best range of the products at very best prices without any retailer or wholesaler involved in between. The products are not only super quality in their perfect original packing but also great value for money. Our aim is to make sure ‘the best products reach you at the best possible price’.
Since the range of products at Crafters Corner is quite huge and varied, we will be slowly updating our website to get the complete collection to you on a continued basis. So, don’t forget to login and check back on what’s new

Kavitha from Kalalayaa art Studio
Hi,i am kavitha from chennai.Colors have attracted me from the very beginning and i have been collecting all art materials-water colors, oil paints, acrylic, sparkles and more from my very young age when i don't even have an idea how to use them, trust me i have tried using oil paints on paper and when saw my painting next day there was nothing but only oil is left, painted a mud pot with water colors and when mom washed it one day,all the colors have been washed out,lolz..From the family of all engineers n doctors nobody have encouraged me much except my mom,who got me lot of coloring book n crayons when ever we go out.My urge for colors n designing made me to join fashion designing course after my computer science degree(which i did just for my parents.lolz),but when i came to know tailoring is the major part of the course in which i am not much interested i joined a one year course in fine arts n took lot of private classes too for different of of arts n crafts like tanjore paintings, mural, glass, fabric, ceramic painting etc.Within a year i started my own art classes in the name of "Kalalayaa" and since then there is no looking back.I worked hard to keep up my standard after started my classes and still i keep learning new things(of course by myself now)

3 years back when i was just surfing in the internet i came to know about blogs and started my own.The thing which i started just for fun now become almost like a part of my life.It has given me good friends, lots of contact and most importantly i came to know about paper crafting 2 years back only because of blogging,i must say i have been hooked since then.My interest for crafts always changed over a period of time, and now its been paper crafting,i love making cards, scrapbooks, mini album etc.How ever since i learnt  many mediums my future plan is to create many interest projects combining different mediums:))

So thats the new DT who will bring to you new challenges and tutotrial and also the updates about the best craft supplies. We are all here to enrich our knowledge of paper crafting and also share and enjoy what we make.
We request you all to give us your full support and cooperation.
