Product Demo - Crackle Paint and Shabby Embossing Enamel

Hello,
Tejal here today with another Product demo. Today I'm showcasing two products in one Video and hope that you like them!

One is the Ranger's Crackle Paint...I'm using the Clear Rock Candy...you can see all the colors we have in the store here! You get them in all the colors of the distress ink plus a few more...like the metallic colors in Brass, Pewter and Bronze. Then there's Clear and the White picket fence.

So on to the next product that I'm talking about..
The Frantage Shabby White Embossing enamel...this is one of the coolest embossing powders ever...Check out the Video to know more...

Here are some of the close ups of the projects and crackle effect I show in the Video..

This is the flower with small crackles because of the thin layer of paint

This is the flower with the larger cracks because of the thick layer of crackle paint on it!

Hope you enjoyed the Video and please leave any comments or queries below..

Much love
Tejal

Vintage style Mini Album!

Hello everyone!
I'm back with a new post for all of you!
Our store has recently got these gorgeous vintage images I've been so excited for them and have been hoarding them ever since I got them in my DT kit lol They are very pretty and I wanted to use them on something new but was very confused what to make! As you all know I absolutely love making mini albums and 3d projects so I thought what's better than using it on an album!
Now without much delay let me share the pictures!

I Created the book using Cardstock and pattern paper. The paper I've used here is from the Prima Divine paper pad available at the store and the prints are just as divine as the name trust me its a must have if you are a vintage lover like me!
I've distressed the image and layered it with some pattern paper and decorated the book using variety of mullberry flowers from the store! I've also used 2 kinds of pollens here to be used as fillers One is the white clay pollens and the other one is the glitter pollens! They are just lovely! When i purchased them I expected the glitter ones to be small but wow these are quiet a big size and add the perfect bling t your project!
And lastly do you see that cute dome with the butterfly? I've made that embellishment on my own! can you believe it? Its not a ready made cameo but a handmade one! We have recently got a lot of Glass domes in our store which are available in a variety of sizes and have matching bronze metal pendants aswell. All you have to do it cut an image you'd like to use add some glossy accents to it and stick the dome on it and Voila! You are done! For the finishing touches to my book I've added some gesso and glitter to the flowers and my favourite liquid pearls around the image :)

I hope you all liked my Vintage Style Mini Album! The links to the products used are down below!
Have a great day

Accordion fold purse

This project was a quick one to make ...this cute little folder can be used to gift stationary , cosmetics or chocolates to friends.
I wanted to use the resin flower but in a different way....I added gesso over it and then loaded it with distress clear rock candy glitter. It was all sparkelly and beautiful. To add the colour I took Distress  reinkers and poured few drops on the flower . It magically turned into a glittery pretty red flower.
I wanted to make it the centre of my flower bunch and here it is ....

With the cute Sue wilson's bow dies I made this two layered bow and added it on top of my bag.
The focal point is the flower and it looks absolutely gorgeous in reality .
I will share the step by step tutorial of the folder next week as I m travelling right now and trust me guys it's a super cute style of presentation. I m sure u will give it a try.

The mulberry roses and Crystal beaded pollens are so cute that they jazz up any simple project like this one perfectly.
I added a tiny magnet which helps the flap stay shut and holds the stuff safely.

The blings, flowers and charms are an absolute must have and our store is full of the most amazing collection ....

3 D Gazebo /Lantern tutorial

Gazebo tutorial
Dear friends ,Dr Sonia here sharing yet another 3 D project made with dies[but doable in principle even if you don't have a die cutting machine!].I used the same Marianne Petra Corner Die set I used to make the 3 D chariot .  And I must thank everyone who showered me with wonderful encouraging comments about the 3D Chariot both on the blog and on Facebook....I never expected it would be so loved! Thank you so much !
I made a 3 D Gazebo which is big enough to house a  little doll .You could even call it a Bird house or a Lantern as it houses a battery operated tea-light.
Paper Gazebo
The picture below shows the dome of the lantern with a large red diamond and a tiny hook to help hang the lantern. I dressed up my lantern with delicate lacey bows made with the new Sue Wilson Filigree bow die! These are so delicate and beautiful!
Gazebo
I actually wanted to make a "Diwali Lantern"  but I must have been thinking of Valentines day and Christmas combined as I added a dangling heart and made a Christmas theme colored lantern!
3 D lantern
The cute and dainty pollen bunches winding around my Gazebo pillars are crystal beaded pollen which are part of the latest embellishment collection Shalini has brought into the store!

Crystal Beaded Pollen
How to make a 3 D Gazebo/Lantern
You dont really need to use the same dies I have used in this tutorial ---just sharing the pictures so that the same principles can be adapted to a shaped die cut / punch you may be already having and you can even apply the same principles to hand cut pieces.
Gazebo tutorial 16
Gazebo tutorial
These are the 2 dies from the Marianne Petra Corner Die set I used to make the dome of the Gazebo.
Gazebo tutorial 7
Die cut
Here is the die cut "unadorned" and using the techniques I shared in the Fun with Dies post here is how it was transformed after inking and heat embossing!
Gazebo tutorial 8
Inked and Embossed
I cut and heat embossed 6 of the above die cuts and folded them in half as shown below. As I said don't despair if you don't have the exact die I have shown-- you can make a gazebo dome using a humble circle shape too and use it as a base to make the rest of your Gazebo! [See tutorial to make a 3 D structure using Circles : Easy Paper decoration tutorial ]
Folded die cuts
Apply glue to half of one folded die cut shape and stick to half of another one as shown below
Stick Die cuts
Stick  all 6 pieces and your dome is nearly done. You get a fairly lovely shape even if you use only 5 die cuts but I found working with 6  made the rest of the 3 D construction easier [ like placing the pillars] !
Gazebo Roof
Before you stick the last 2 pieces, add a hook if you plan to hang your lantern. I used a long jewelry finding and threaded a large bead on one end and made a hook on the other end.Later on I added a dangling heart to the hook on the inside and a pearl- ruby to the hook on the top.
Gazebo dome
To complete the Gazebo roof, I used the Marianne die cut shown below. It looks rather plain doesn't it..well instead of inking and embossing , I took a shortcut!
Gazebo tutorial 10
Marianne Petra Corner
I know many of you will already be embossing your die cuts with the Bigshot/Cuttlebug...well this was the first time I did it ! So sharing yet another way to explore  the maximum potential of your dies!
Gazebo tutorial 11
Die cut embossing
Place the die cut within the die itself [on your acrylic cutting plate]and place a Spellbinders Embossing pad atop it and then your other cutting plate.
Gazebo tutorial 12
Die cut embossing
Just one run through your big shot and you will get beautiful embossed impressions on your die cut as shown below.
Gazebo tutorial 13
Die cut embossing
Before I got the embossing pad, I tried  to emboss die cuts with thick felt and even foam-- I did manage to get some amount of embossing but my foam/ felt spoilt and disintegrated real fast and on comparison the embossing was not as deep and beautiful as what I got using the proper Spellbinders Embossing pad.
Gazebo tutorial 14
Embossed Die cut
To give sturdiness and complete the Gazebo roof ,attached 6 of the above die-cuts between the arms of the basic frame made earlier.

Hanging Heart
Embossed 6 of the 3rd design in the Marianne Petra die set and folded them into little "crowns" as shown.

Glued the "legs" of the die cuts together so that they literally stood up to embrace my tea light!

Lantern tutorial
Stuck the Marianne design arrangement atop a circle ,leaving enough space in the center to fit in a battery operated tea-light.
Gazebo tutorial 27
Tattered Lace die
I used a  Big Bite to punch a hole in the center of a Tattered Lace rose [ I love this die--- even though it is so delicate and detailed it cuts like butter!] and fit it atop a battery operated tea light.
Gazebo tutorial 28
Tea light
Here is the lighted up tea light!
Gazebo tutorial 29
Lantern tutorial
Made pillars using corrugated paper and stuck it to the base circle.
Lantern tutorial
Stick the top of the pillars to the Gazebo roof. You can wind a piece of card/ corrugated paper around the base circle and pillars to make your base sturdy and strong.
Gazebo tutorial 32
Gazebo tutorial
Tip : Obsessing a bit about symmetry, gluing and re-gluing is the key to building a good looking and sturdy Lantern/Gazebo! Working with 6 eg :6 spokes on the roof, 6 pillars, 6 sides  etc makes it easier to build a symmetrical 3 D structure than working with 5 !
Gazebo tutorial
Phew that was a super long post but I do hope you enjoyed my first DIY Lantern ,and hoping some of the principles shared will come in useful to help you make your own Diwali /Christmas Lantern for the upcoming festive season.
Do tell me how you like it.

Tute on Bracelet and Key ring!

Hello everyone! How are you all doing? Today am here to share a tutorial with you all! I’m so excited!! Eee :D
Well as you all know I just love charms and embellishments and our store has a huge variety of these! So I decided to use them in a bracelet!
Its my first jewellery project ever and I’m super happy with how it turned out.
So lets get started!

I had this old bracelet lying with me which was just a plain chain. So i decided to make it look pretty! :p

I selected few of my favourite charms and decided the placement first and then started adding them using jump rings from my stash.

Once i was done with adding the charms I made a variety of hangings using some wire and added them to the bracelet. Here’s the end result!

For the key ring I’ve used the same technique but here I’ve use this cute ball chain available at our store and the rings are also available at the store! These key chains are super cut and fun to make!

This is how it looks when ready!

Hope you all like my bracelet and key rings and will try to make few!

Have a great day!

Hugs

Monogram

Hi friends,
It's always fun to create your own personalized decor. I was looking for a big alphabet since long but could not find it anywhere. So I decided to make my own. I drew "A" on a chipboard and cut it  thrice and glued them together so that my chipboard is as strong as wood.
That's quite easy ....seriously :)
And here is my very own monogram to be placed in my craft room .

I chose a beautiful paterned paper and adhered it with modpodge which made it super strong and shiny.

Distressed the egdes and added some liquid pearls to add some oomph !
It's extreemly important to embellish our projects well . Everyone has their own ways to jazz up the projects ,I love the mulberry flowers and the pollens which make a beautiful bouquet together .
My second most favourite embellishments are the metal charms and they go extreemely well with the flowers.
Have a look at this and create your own monograms and do share the pics with us.hope u like it!!!

A closer look at the bunch ..
I misted it with some glitter spray added the feather charm and a fussy cut butterfly.

This is the super cute gorjuss doll holding another awesome charm.

Our store is loaded with these adorable metal charms, flowers and pollen fillers .
So what are you waiting for ...check it out at www.crafterscorner.in

Thanks for the appreciation and kind words you shower on me...

Keep crafting ..
